Health, Safety & Environment

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

We are unequivocally committed to protecting the environment while maximizing operational efficiency. Our global HSE policy ensures that stringent ecological stewardship is integrated into every phase of our supply chain, from upstream extraction to downstream distribution.

Emissions Reduction Strategy

As a responsible energy trader, we actively manage our carbon footprint across Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. We are implementing comprehensive flaring reduction programs across our affiliated upstream assets, capturing associated gas to be processed into valuable LNG or utilized for onsite power generation.

In our maritime logistics, we prioritize the chartering of eco-vessels equipped with scrubbers and energy-saving devices. Furthermore, we are actively expanding our portfolio of transitional fuels, heavily promoting the trade of ultra-low sulfur diesel (EN590-10PPM) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to help our clients reduce their own downstream emissions profiles.

Spill Prevention & Water Management

The protection of marine and freshwater ecosystems is a non-negotiable priority. Top Products LTD employs a "Zero Spill" philosophy, supported by rigorous preventative maintenance on all pipelines, storage tanks, and single-point mooring systems. We utilize double-hulled vessels exclusively for crude and product transport.

Beyond spill prevention, we manage water resources efficiently. Our downstream facilities utilize advanced closed-loop cooling systems and sophisticated wastewater treatment plants. These systems ensure that any water discharged back into the environment meets or exceeds international environmental standards, safeguarding local aquatic habitats.

Waste Minimization & Circularity

We apply the principles of the circular economy to our industrial waste management. Our operations are guided by the hierarchy of reduce, reuse, and recycle. Hazardous waste—such as spent catalysts, sludge, and industrial lubricants—is meticulously categorized, tracked, and processed by certified environmental contractors.

We are continuously exploring technological solutions to upcycle refining byproducts. For example, our trade in Petroleum Coke (Petcoke) ensures that heavy refining residues are repurposed as high-energy fuel for the cement and power industries, rather than being disposed of in landfills, thereby maximizing resource efficiency.

Biodiversity & Habitat Protection

Before initiating any new infrastructure project or engaging in offshore exploration, we conduct exhaustive Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs). These studies map local biodiversity, identifying sensitive habitats and migration routes. We adjust project footprints and operational schedules to avoid disruption to local wildlife.

Furthermore, we actively participate in habitat restoration initiatives. In areas where our operations have concluded, we commit to comprehensive site remediation, returning the land to its natural state. Our goal is to ensure that our presence has a net-neutral or net-positive long-term impact on local biodiversity.
